Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 38th Annual General Meeting of the Air New Zealand Retired Staff Club (Northern) will be held at the Remuera Club (27-33 Ohinerau St, Remuera) at 11:45 am on Wednesday 5 June 2019, to be immediately followed by the Mid-Year Luncheon. The doors will open and a cash bar will be operating from 11am so do take this opportunity to mix and mingle with your former colleagues. It is always advisable to arrive early if you wish to get seated with a group, as late-comers will discover they may have to squeeze in wherever they can. The AGM will commence at 11:45am followed by the buffet lunch from approximately 12:15pm. We will be running a silent auction for some classic collectible posters throughout the lunch (see details here) and will be drawing the ever popular door prizes provided by your club, of a bottle of wine for 12 lucky winners. With the club subsidy the cost is $32 per person and you can register online on our website, or use the application form included in the printed version of this newsletter.

5. Treasurer's Report To consider and if thought fit, pass the following resolution: "THAT THE AUDITED ANNUAL ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2019 AS CIRCULATED, BE ADOPTED."

6. Set Annual Subscription The Treasurer recommends that the annual subscription for 2019/2020 be set at $10

7. Appoint Almoner Brian Cudby has agreed to be nominated as Almoner for 2019/2020

8. Appoint Hon. Auditor Nuala Baker has agreed to be nominated as Auditor for 2019/2020

9. Election of Committee Ian Steel has completed his two year term as President and will now assume the position of Immediate Past President. Gary Collins is retiring from the committee but all other committee members and officers have agreed to continue on the committee in their present positions. Officers: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Immediate Past President (Ian Steel) The following current committee members are available for re-election: Brian Cudby, Jo Foged, John Hooper, Anne Jaggard, Gaye Mears, Katie Noble, Roley Rackley, Murray Robertson, John Roscoe.

10. Rule Changes The committee is proposing a Rule change to extend Associate Membership to the spouse or partner of deceased members and also to take the opportunity to reorganise and update the content. Read full details of the proposed new rules here. "THAT THE CURRENT RULES BE UPDATED AND AMENDED AS DETAILED IN THIS NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING."

Any changes to Club Rules may only be carried out at an Annual General Meeting and must be approved by a majority, so please come along and support the running of your club.

Some of your committee members will not be standing for re-election at this AGM. Have you considered joining the committee?
