YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU !
Your Club’s constitution provides for up to 13 committee members, namely 3 officers comprising President, Secretary & Treasurer plus a management committee of up to 10 members. Until this year’s AGM your committee comprised a grand total of 10 members (3 officers + 7 management committee). At this year’s AGM in June, 3 officers/members retired & 1 new member was elected, making for a grand total of only 8 committee members (3 officers & 5 management committee).
This reduced number has meant that your current committee is having difficulty in fulfilling some of the tasks necessary to ensure your Club continues to provide all the services you have enjoyed up until now. To this end we seek to co-opt any member/s with good computer literacy skills &/or good organisational skills.
In particular, we are also looking for suggestions from any member actively involved in a special interest group or organisation that would be suitable for a trip/outing for your Retired Staff Club members, and who would welcome the opportunity to organise such a trip/outing.
If you can assist your committee as outlined above, please email brief details to:
Antoinette Nelson - Secretary - Antoinette@outlook.co.nz -or- Murray Robertson - President - m_robertson@xtra.co.nz
We will acknowledge and reply promptly to your emails and give careful consideration to your info/offer at our next committee meeting on Wed 01 September.
THANK YOU

REPORT on ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and Mid-Year Lunch
Our AGM was held at the Remuera Club and attracted 67 guests which is a lower attendance than in previous years.
The various recommendations put forward by your committee were endorsed and Murray Robertson was elected as your President for the upcoming year. Jackie Taylor was elected to the Committee. Long serving retiring committee members Roley Rackley, Ian Steel and Brian Cudby were given a small recognition for their service and their valuable efforts in furthering the aims of the club were acknowledged.
The lunch, prepared by the Remuera Club caterer, was up to its usual high standard and there appeared to be a lot of "catching up" going on between members. Congratulations to Raffle Winners Mike Lynch, Murray Gregg, Jan Mills, Tom Harty, Neil Ingram, and Artie Baldock who won a selection of Oyster Bay wines and Bubbles!
Next year the focus will be on the Mid-Winter Lunch with the AGM being dealt with as expeditiously as possible. Similarly the Committee plans to move the event so that it is not impacted by other events of a similar nature.
