Winter is still here, and COVID, colds and flu are still lurking in the shadows, however we had a great Mid-Winter lunch preceded by one of the quickest AGM Meetings on record. Our sincere condolences go to the families of those members who passed away recently, and whose names are recorded below. Please let us know as soon as possible if you know of a member passing, so that others can be notified in time to attend the funeral.
Report on Mid-Winter Lunch and AGM
The Mid-Winter Lunch & AGM was attended by 69 members and partners and the 41st AGM was completed in 14 minutes. Three committee members retired and three new committee members were appointed. Due to the impact of Covid during the last two years on our lunches & trips your committee recommended that the 2022-2023 subscriptions be waived & this was agreed unanimously.
The meal was up to its usual good standard and the mixed prize raffle was well received. One noticeable difference at this lunch was the increased level of conversation and that, at 2 p.m., the room was still quite full as nobody appeared to be in a hurry to leave.
